I

It was love at first sight, when Brandon laid eyes on Emma as she gracefully danced across the stage of a local theater, and it didn’t take long before they were dancing to the same love song on their wedding day. The couple chose a neutral color scheme of ivory, nude and champagne. A watercolor invitation, accented by printed music, set the tone for their graceful wedding at CL Space. The industrial venue with concrete floors, brick walls and exposed ceiling was a complete contrast to their soft wedding design. Emma wore an ivory gown with a fitted top, lace back and flowing organza skirt that allowed her to float gracefully through her wedding day. Her brunette bun, a favorite of ballerinas, was accented with a floral headpiece and long, unembellished veil. Not one to wear statement jewelry, Emma chose some simple teardrop earrings, and no self-respecting ballerina would be caught dead without her ballet slippers!

The ceremony glowed as sunlight streamed through the large windows of the historic property, during the daytime nuptials. The ceremony altar was kept simple, with a sheer fabric backdrop and hanging gold feather accent. Large cylinders of pillar candles anchored each side of the altar and the guest seating consisted of wooden crossback chairs, a subtle nod to the criss-cross ribbons of a ballet slipper. Emma carried an all spray rose bouquet in natural shades with eucalyptus accents and long hanging ribbons that flowed as she walked down the aisle. Lunch was hosted at a rectangular table covered in a neutral-colored linen with a subtle organic overlay. The linear centerpiece consisted of natural elements, such as sand, wood, greenery and floral touches. A combination of pillar and floating candles created a romantic feel, while two sets of antlers, on either side of the table, created dimension within the chic, yet slightly rustic, tablescape. The darkness of the stained wood & brass accents, created contrast atop the light-colored table. Each guests placesetting was accented with a brown egg, serving as a placecard for each person, atop a linen napkin and white-washed wood charger. Guests dined with contemporary gold flatware and sipped on glasses of crisp white wine. Their wedding design was a true reflection of their graceful love story and simplistic style, as they began their new life, that’s sure to be filled with beautiful music.
