Destination Engagement in Connecticut // A+B

I can’t tell you how excited I was when Audrey and Blake asked to fly me up to capture this destination engagement session in Connecticut for them! Audrey is a Hawaiian native while Blake grew up in Texas, so how the heck did they end up in CT? I’ll spill the tea. Blake enlisted in the Navy which is how he ended up at the naval station in Pearl Habor. Through mutual friends the two hit it off and once Blake found out he was going to be transferred for his next mission at the naval base in CT, he knew he couldn’t leave Hawaii without Audrey. On a gorgeous evening on the beaches of Honolulu, Blake proposed to Audrey. Of course she said yes and the two celebrated as the sun descended on the ocean leaving the sky a beautiful cotton candy pink.

Fast forward to now, Audrey and Blake moved to the cutest town I’ve ever seen in Mystic, Connecticut. As they started to get settled they decided to adopt the sweetest Aussie puppy from Texas. She goes by the name of Lani and showers everyone she meets with kisses and the occasional puppy nibble.

Audrey did lots of research on where she wanted her photos taken and I’m so thankful for that because her due diligence paid off big time! We started the day at 2pm and traveled to a state park where we snapped photos in the forest with all the leaves changing colors. Then a quick outfit change and we were off to the Saville Dam which looked like it was straight out of a movie. We ended our session as the sun went down over the dam with the mountains in the background. PURE MAGIC! Even though we didn’t make it home until 9pm the day was absolutely perfect and ended with Chick Fl A and Burger King which was the cherry on top!
