Casa Lantana Wedding // Mr. & Mrs. Johnson
The property that is the Casa Lantana wedding venue is a whimsical escape to all the Tampa hustle and bustle. It truly feels like you’ve been transported outside the city, maybe even the state. On a Sunday afternoon in November, Lindsay and Kyle would become husband and wife surrounded by friends, family, and lots of nature.
Both Kyle and Lindsay got ready together at the Casa Lantana wedding venue. Although they were in different wings of the house that still meant I was able to spend some time with both of them as they got ready for their big day. Fun fact, Lindsay and I both wore Betsy Johnson shoes, a Watters wedding gown, and dark red lips on our wedding day! To say we share the same style would be an understatement. The ceremony was set up underneath a canopy of oak trees while Kyle and Lindsay stood under a twisted branch arch adorned with fresh flowers. They exchanged vows, shared “I dos”, and broke glass to signify their marriage.
The reception kicked off shortly after Kyle and Lindsay slayed their wedding portraits (as I knew they would because they totally crushed their engagement session), where guests dined under market lights and all the stars in the sky. Having an open-air wedding and reception can be risky in Florida but the evening Mr. & Mrs. Johnson got married couldn’t have been more beautiful! Not only were guests dancing all night long, but there was also a really unique photo booth inside a vintage powder blue VW bus where guests could enjoy taking photos as keepsakes. One of my personal favorite touches was the doughnut wall, I mean, who doesn’t love a doughnut wall?! As the evening came to an end, guests lined the pathway to Mr. & Mrs. Johnson’s getaway car, lighting the path with dozens of sparklers to send the newlyweds off on their next adventure. Mazel tov Mr. & Mrs. Johnson!
