Station House Wedding // Mr. & Mrs. Mays
Where do I begin with Katie and Crosby? When I first met them at a coffee shop in Tampa we recognized we shared 561 area codes. After a little digging we found out we grew up in the same city and Crosby and I had mutual friends. Small world right? I didn’t realize how small until I showed up for their wedding day and realized I grew up with multiple people in their bridal party and that Katie works with my in-laws! Yet here we all are, Palm Beach people, in Downtown St. Pete celebrating Katie and Crosby’s Station House wedding day! I asked them how they managed to pick Station House all the way from Palm Beach and the answer was simple, this venue is amazing and completely worth the 3.5 hour drive to Tampa. Scene, set.
The morning began with the girls at the Hyatt downtown. I love how much thought Katie put into all of her wedding details. Her and Crosby are both detectives so she wanted to make sure she incorporated their badges along with the rope that they would tie to signify their marriage (her stunning royal blue shoes were a personal favorite of mine). Then things got lit when the girls busted out the confetti cannons. I’m going to go out on a limb here to say that this was definitely the most fun I’ve had taking getting ready photos. After I de-confettied myself, I walked to the Station House to hang with the boys as they got ready, enjoyed a cocktail, and played cards.
After Katie got dressed her mom escorted her to her firstlook with her father who then escorted Katie to her first look with Crosby. Give me all the first looks, I love it! Once all the photos were finished the ceremony took place on the rooftop lawn as the sun was going down. You can see in the photos the transition from day to night during the ceremony which is pretty cool (and kept me on my toes because I was constantly adjusting my lighting). When Katie and Crosby were pronounced husband and wife, the bridal party blasted 8 confetti cannons which created the most epic, confetti filled, first kiss picture ever! That momentum carried into the evening where the party didn’t stop. What a freakin’ blast (pun intended) this day was! Thank you Katie and Crosby for letting me capture your Station House wedding!
