Best Engagement Photo Spots in Tampa and St. Pete
If you’re engaged and looking for the best engagement photo spots to take your pics, look no further! Between Tampa and St. Pete the options are endless (which can also be overwhelming). From the bay, to downtown, parks, fields, and the ocean- whatever your vibe is, you’ll find it here. I’ve been shooting in the Tampa Bay Area for over 10 years and I’ve put together a quick guide of my favorite places. No matter what, you can’t go wrong.
Picnic Island
Kicking off the best engagement photo spots in Tampa is Picnic Island! This park is is on the bay facing west so you still get those gorgeous sunset vibes without traveling all the way to St. Pete beach! In addition to the beach, there are winding trails, trees, rock formations, and little hills around the area that make this park perfect for photos. #sunsetbae
Ybor City
If you’re looking for more of an urban setting, Ybor City is the place for you! Historic buildings, staircases, brick, and pops of color really epitomize life in Tampa. #historicbae
Water Works Park
Tampa Heights is a magical area (I got married at the Rialto Theatre so I’m slightly biased). But come on, the charm of the Downtown skyline, the liveliness of Armature Works, the artsy scene of Franklin Street, and the nature vibes of the park and Riverwalk? You really can’t go wrong! #diversebae
Florida State Fair
If it’s February, then you’re in luck because the Florida State Fair is in town! Rides, ice cream, carnival games, and lights make for one epic engagement session. Bring out your inner-kid again! #cottoncandybae
Tampa has so many gems it’s hard
to keep track but here’s a handful more:
UT // Curtis Hixon Park // Hyde Park // Julie B. Lane Rivefront Park // Al Lopez Park // USF
Downtown St. Pete
Downtown St. Pete is probably my most requested location. How could it not be? Colorful, fun, unique, and it has breweries and homemade ice cream sandwich cookies?! I’m in! #vibrantbae
Redington Beach
Aside from DTSP, Redington Beach also ranks high on my most requested spot list. Although a traditional beach location, the condemned fishing pier adds some drama to the scenery. Pair that with Florida’s killer sunsets and ocean waves, this just might win the sexiest location award. Let’s get wet. ? #saltbae
Vinoy Park/North Shore Park
Vinoy Park and North Shore Park put a chic twist on the nature scene and it’s also the perfect place to bring your pupper! Although only 2 miles from each other, Vinoy Park has the Museum of Fine Arts, big banyan trees, pink bougainvillea covered walkways, and sailboats on the bay. While North Shore Park has big grass fields, long stretches of beach, and a colorful pier to enhance the sunset on the water. Can’t decide on one? Let’s hit up both! ?#parkbae
Philippe Park
Philippe Park has everything you want in a park and more. Forest feels, open fields, big stone staircases, and its on the water?! That’s all the nature-y things anyone could ask for in one place! #naturebae
Downtown Dunedin
Downtown Dunedin is charming AF! Seriously, the cutest little town! Micro-breweries, boutiques, restaurants, parks, and it’s waterfront- you can’t go wrong! #adorabae
The Dali Museum
Is it just me, or is the Dali Museum the coolest piece of architecture ever? It’s the perfect backdrop for photos but a little more effort is required for this location due to the crowds. Sunrise sessions are the perfect way to have an entire area to yourself! #artbae
Pass-A-Grille Beach
To closeout the best engagement photo spots, last but not least is Pass-A-Grille Beach. If you’re just looking for a straight up beach, you’ll find it at Pass-A-Grille. Boardwalks, a concrete pier, boulders, and of course, the ocean. The essence of Florida. #beachbae
