Clearwater Beach Elopement // C+M

May 30th, 2020 was suppose to be Catherine and Mike’s wedding date before COVID forced a reschedule for their over 200 person wedding. Although they’ve rescheduled their wedding to next year so all of their friends and family can be there to celebrate with them, they chose to honor their original wedding date with a Clearwater beach elopement just for them. At Catherine’s family house on the beach in Belleair, I met up with Catherine and Mike while they were getting ready just like any other wedding day. When Catherine told me she ordered her dress off Amazon and made her own alterations to it I was shook! This dress looked like it came straight from a boutique! Catherine also made her bouquet which she nicknamed “the pouf” because it was just a big fluffy display of flowers that looked so legit I also thought they came from a florist. Moral of the story here, Catherine can do it all! While Confetti Events helped set up their ceremony on the beach while I photographed the details of the day, Catherine FaceTimed with members of her family who were all sending her love and well wishes. Once it was time for the ceremony to start, Catherine escorted herself down the aisle while Mike watched with biggest smile of his face. They read their own personal vows, exchanged rings, and sealed their commitment with a kiss. I spent the rest of the evening with Catherine, Mike, and their two pups, grabbing photos by the beach, taking a much needed A/C break in the house, and then going back out to capture these two during sunset. We ended our portraits with Catherine and Mike jumping into the pool. Can you do that on your wedding day?! Well, I guess it’s possible but I’m gonna say you wouldn’t. Once Catherine and Mike cleaned up, Confetti Events made sure they had a beautiful dinner complete with cake and champagne waiting for them. This Clearwater beach elopement was such a fun way to commemorate Catherine and Mike’s original wedding date while they wait patiently to celebrate with family and friends next year.
