Sirata Beach Resort Wedding // Mr. + Mrs. Hauser
Sevie and Todd were originally suppose to get married on May 9th, 2020, AKA smack dab in the middle of COVID. They were forced to postpone their Sirata Beach Resort wedding like many other couples for the safety of their guests and themselves which brings us to their new date, September 26, 2020. But how did they get here? Sevie and Todd first met in 2010 at a UCF wrestling party. Todd was a former UCF wrestler and Sevie was a UCF wrestling manager… it was a match made on the mat. Sevie and Todd not only love to fish but they love anything on the water which was so beautifully worked into their wedding theme. In 2019 Sevie and Todd got engaged, here’s the backstory: in March of 2018 they took a boat to a new island in the Florida Keys. Although they didn’t have their fishing poles they still had the best time ever. Todd always mentioned he wanted to go back and catch those snook. Fast forward to March 2019 they went back to the island. Although they didn’t get to fish because another boat was in their snook spot, when they came to the little beach they got out to walk the boat together. Todd said something like “well we didn’t catch any fish today, but I still have a chance to land my biggest catch yet,” and he got down on knee. She said yes and the rest is history! #hookedaHauser
Now let’s get into their Sirata Beach Resort wedding day! Sevie and Todd deserved nothing but the best weather for their day after the all the drama 2020 has caused them and their wedding. Technically it’s “Fall” in Florida but we all know that usually means nothing. However, Mother Nature must have been taking requests because the humidity was low and the sunset was beautiful. After the sun-kissed ceremony and lots of time spent with our toes in the sand, it was time to eat, drink, and be married at the reception. And what a reception it was! Sevie comes from a Greek family so it was only right that some Greek dances were thrown into the mix along with some line dancing. Todd pulled off a great garter retrieval with plenty of props, and the guests were more than happy to lift not only spirits but Todd too. The evening ended back on the beach as the newlyweds jogged through a tunnel of sparklers to close out this perfect night. Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Hauser!
