The Space at Feather Oaks Wedding // Mr. + Mrs. Gent
Ashley and Tyler we set to be married on May 16th, 2020 but COVID had other plans. With their new date set for November 15th, 2020 and still so much uncertainty along with a potential tropical storm looming in the forecast, it makes me SO happy to report that their the Space at Feather Oaks wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. When I pulled in to the Space at Feather Oaks my eyes lit up. This serene, romantic, barn venue was dreamy. Nestled on 14 acres just outside of downtown Tallahassee this space features a restored barn, organic garden, horse pastures, and so many options for photos my little photographer heart was smitten.
I started the day with Ashley and her girls getting ready and then headed over to hang with Tyler and the guys as they suited up. The ceremony was held under a huge oak tree as the sun was starting to fall in the sky. The flower girl was Ashley’s abuela and honestly it was the cutest thing I’ve seen in a while. After the ceremony we walked around the Space at Feather Oaks wedding venue and took advantage of “golden hour” or “magic hour” as us photographers like to call it. I think you’ll see why in all of Ashley and Tyler’s portraits because the warm, glowing, presence of the sun is undeniable. The rest of the evening was filled with lots of love, laugher, (a dress change, signature drinks, cigars, cake) and happily ever after. The newlyweds ended the evening with a “confetti” toss under cascading dried flowers that filled the air with the most amazing scent. Ashley and Tyler, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your wedding day, it was well worth the wait!
