Powel Crosley Estate Wedding // Mr. + Mrs. Brower

What a day, what a day! On January 23, 2021 we were transported back in time to the “Roaring Twenties”. A Great Gatsby themed affair that was set on the grounds of the historic Powel Crosley Estate for the Brower’s wedding day. Built in 1929, this two-and-a-half-story, 11,000-square-foot Mediterranean mansion has 21 rooms and 10 bathrooms and sits adjacent to the John Ringling Estate. Needless to say it couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop for Cassandra and Zach’s Powel Crosley Estate wedding day! The girls got ready downstairs, slipping on their gold glitter gowns while the boys suited up on the second level of the mansion with matching gold metal bowties. During the ceremony Cassandra flawlessly descended down two flights of stairs from the second story balcony where her dad escorted her down the aisle. As far as ceremony backdrops go, this just might be one of my favorites. The architecture, the chandelier, the string lights; everything about it framed Cassandra and Zach so perfectly as they said their “I dos”. Although the sun was out and the sky was blue, shortly after the ceremony a thick wave of fog rolled off the Sarasota Bay completely hazing out the sun and settling in to the reception space on the lawn. The fog hung around for the rest of the evening and completely changed the scene for the photos. The rest of the evening was spent dancing to the sounds of 22N. It felt like we were all at a private concert for the first time in over a year and the guests (and myself) couldn’t get enough of it. The evening ended underneath a stream of ribbons that was lit up by a cold spark fountains as Mr. & Mrs. Brower took off in a rare 1935 Hudson Terraplane. And that my friends is how you throw a party- Gatsby style! Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Brower!
