Honeymoon Island Park Engagement // E+A
Before this Honeymoon Island Park engagement session I remember sitting in my car looking up at the clear blue sky with the sun shinning thinking to myself, “Hallelujah! Finally a rain-free evening!” cue the narrater of my life chiming in with *it was in fact, not a rain-free evening*. LOL Looking back as I was editing these photos, you can slowly see the doom and gloom creeping in from the east but it was easily overlooked with the bright sun shinning in from the west. As we worked our way through the park and down to the beach that eerie breeze that comes right before a storm went from a breeze to a Category 1 hurricane. As we turned around and saw the the darkness closing in on us, the most insane scene unfolded and we snapped a picture right before we high-tailed it out of there. The seagulls were escaping the storm as the rain fell from across the bay creating the most stunning rainbow from the sun setting from the west. I still can’t get over how this photo is even real but I’m so thankful I had Erin and Alec with me because they were so down embrace my direction and make it happen. We did not make it back to the parking lot before the sky completely opened up on us but we all agree it was totally worth it. Since Erin and Alec’s Honeymoon Island Park engagement session was cut short, we decided to try again at Picnic Island Park to get the sunset they were hoping for. Although the sun didn’t come out, there was still a gorgeous warm glow and the water was perfecting for rounding out this Picnic Island Park engagement session. Two parks, two beaches, and three different weather scenes, I’d say Erin and Alec got the best of both worlds and a little more.
