Winthrop Village Engagement // A+C
If you’re looking for a hidden gem and the perfect place for a modern-downtown vibe with a bit of a whimsical twist it’s definitely this Winthrop Village engagement session! I’ve photographed here once before, right when the pandemic hit and everything was closed down so it was like a ghost town. Now coming back almost a year later I was curious on how everything being open and back to normal would effect my session with people in and out. It is after all a bustling plaza with lots of restaurants and a big ole’ Publix. Luckily it was no different than photographing anywhere else in public. You just work around the people or wait for them to pass. NBD. But this is my biggest complaint about shooting on the beach, especially a super touristy beach like Clearwater. There is so much foot traffic on the beach and so many people walking down the shore (naturally) that it’s stopping and pausing every 5 seconds it seems like. But I digress, the beach always gets me going on a tangent. ? Anna and Carlos were a dream to work with. They came prepared with poses that they really liked from Pinterest (not necessary but helpful for sure) and they slayed it all! Their first outfit being more formal, we worked our way around the plaza to get those “save the date” photos that are more refined and classic. Then Anna and Carlos changed into their second outfit for their Winthrop Village engagement session and went for a matching casual look. Sporting blue jeans, a white shirt, and white shoes. Usually this would give off the 90s family portrait vibe but they executed it flawlessly and I loved it. Now it was time to pull out my fun photo prompts and get a little more adventurous with their photos. As you can see, they nailed it. I loved working with these two and wish them all the best on their tropical destination wedding next year!
