Backyard Lutz Wedding // Mr. + Mrs. Witte
Where do I begin with this perfect backyard Lutz wedding day at the Witte house? I guess I’ll start by saying I first got to meet Carly and Mark at their engagement session at Honeymoon Island when it was 40 degrees and freezing outside. We all froze our buns off but you really couldn’t tell the temps that day from the photos because Carly and Mark were total champs. That’s when I knew if Carly and Mark could make freezing temps look that good, imagine what they could do on a normal Florida weather day! And I was right, they slayed their backyard Lutz wedding day! Carly did such an amazing job with all of the decorations that really transformed their backyard into a whimsical reception venue. Tall stemmed white roses lined the aisle and big drapery adorned the oak tree where Carly and Mark became Mr. and Mrs. Witte under. After they said “I do”, their walk down the aisle was sprinkled with confetti that their guests popped as they cheered them along before everyone opened their umbrellas for a really cool pic idea that Carly came up with when they reached the end of the aisle. Then Mr. C’s Grilled Cheese truck pulled up to serve guests for dinner. I don’t know about you but that’s a 10/10 meal choice for me. I took Carly and Mark around their yard for photos before it was time for first dances, cake cutting, and a really unique bouquet “toss”. Carly tied long pieces of ribbon around her bouquet for guests to hold as they walked around her while she was blind folded and used scissors to cut the ribbon piece by piece. The last person holding the remaining ribbon was crowed the winner which ended up being Carly’s daughter, so perfect. Grant Hemond got the party started and the rest of the night was spent on the dance floor with friends and family. I loved capturing this day, congrats Mr. & Mrs. Witte!
