The Barn Wedding // Mr. + Mrs. Schildbach

Sparkly shoes, a rubber ducky tie, a thunderstorm, and a blue french horn were just some of key items that made up The Barn wedding for Mr. + Mrs. Schildbach. How I Met Your Mother was a strong theme in this wedding and fans of the show will definitely notice the homages Brittany and Kevin paid to their favorite sitcom. We love to see it.

I started out this gorgeous (and hot) summer day with Brittany and her girls in the bridal cabin photographing details (Harry Potter fans, peep the Niffler ring holder I’M OBSESSED) while the girls got ready in the coolest Hawaiian shirts. Each shirt was hand picked by Brittany for each of her girls and I was loving the color of it all. As Brittany was finishing getting dressed, the boys arrived via golf cart where Brittany and Kevin shared their first look. Most first looks are pretty emotional, but my favorite part about Brittany and Kevin’s was the following dialogue: Kevin- “You look so beautiful!” Brittany- “I know.” ? No lies detected.

After the first look we got all the portraits done and dusted with the help of some of the local cows that call The Barn wedding home. Then it was off to the races to get these two married. In classic summertime Florida fashion, a huge thunderstorm was brewing right across the lake, turning the sky dark and kicking up some pretty big gusts of wind. As Brittany and Kevin said “I do” and walked down the aisle as husband and wife, the skies opened up and the rainstorm hung around for the majority of the evening. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The rest of the night was spent with dinner, drinks, and dancing as Brittany and Kevin partied the night away with their friends and family. It was the perfect day. Congrats Mr. + Mrs. Schildbach!
