Armature Works Proposal // C+D

Is there anything better than getting to capture your friends getting engaged? It’s high on my list of favorite things that’s for sure! Courtney and I met a couple of years ago when we ran into each other walking our dogs in our neighborhood. I can’t remember the specifics but what I can remember is inviting myself over to do face masks and watch movies together and soon it became a weekly tradition and we became fast friends. Courtney then received an incredible job opportunity in Texas and has been a resident of the Lone Star State ever since. So when her boyfriend, David, reached out to me to help capture his Armature Works proposal to Courtney the next time they would be in town, I was so excited! To set the scene it was a BEAUTIFUL sunny and 70 degree kind of day. One of Courtney’s friends set up a cute little spot with champagne and a sign that David had picked out where he wanted to propose. Usually capturing proposals is fairly easy because I’m never concerned with the couple recognizing me and spoiling the surprise. Most people don’t see a random girl with a camera and think it has anything to do with them. However, photographing a friend is a little different. If Courtney were to spot me the surprise would be ruined so I had to be extra sneaky this time around, I even wore a hat. 😂 Hey if it works for Joe Goldberg in You, then it should work for me right? David lead Courtney through Armatures Works and outside toward the river where he stopped in front of the sign that said “Marry Me” and got down on one knee. Of course Courtney said yes and the crowd of people around Armature Works and Riverwak all erupted in cheer. Champagne was popped, hugs were shared, and we spent the next hour taking photos around the Riverwalk area. It doesn’t get more perfect than that! Congratulations Courtney and David, this Armature Works proposal was a 10/10! Love you guys!
