The 1910 Inn Wedding // Mr. + Mrs. Dorney
On a beautiful day in Tarpon Springs, FL, I joined Linda and her girls and she got ready for her 1910 Inn wedding day. This Inn is one of the most unique venues I’ve ever photographed in. Stepping inside transports you back to a simpler time with the original furniture, decor, and historical photographs on the walls of a previous era on Main Street USA. I don’t think a venue could have been more perfectly matched for Linda and Patrick. Linda not only wore her grandmother’s wedding band, jewelry, and other wedding day items such as a handkerchief that was passed down from generations of women in her family; she also wore her grandmother’s wedding dress. It felt like it was made for Linda and accompanied by the backdrop of the vintage flare from the 1910 Inn it was just so perfect. As the girls got ready, the boys arrived downstairs where Linda and Patrick would share their first look in the foyer. After some portraits around the Inn and the Tarpon Springs mural down the street, it was off the Fred Howard Park for the ceremony. Nestled under a beautiful canopy of oak trees covered in moss it couldn’t have been a more picturesque space for Linda and Patrick to become husband and wife. After the ceremony the newly Mr. and Mrs. Dorney held a traditional receiving line to greet their guests as they left for cocktail hour back at the Inn. As the sun was started to set we got all of our portraits done at the park before we headed back to kick off the 1910 Inn wedding festivities! A choreographed dance with a picture perfect dip at the end got the party started followed by dinner, speeches, cake, and dancing under the stars. Cheers to the Dorneys, what an amazing day!
