Tampa Courthouse Wedding // Mr. + Mrs. Rosa
There’s something so special about going to the courthouse to get married. The intimacy of just you and your partner without any outside noise. No opinions about venue, decor, food, music, and if your mother-in-law is happy with the seating chart. And yes, being surrounded by family and friends is wonderful, but sometimes the lavishness of a traditional wedding can take away from the core purpose of what you’re there for. To marry your person. So if skipping all the drama the inherently comes with big wedding day sounds like your kinda thing, I have just the place for you! A Tampa courthouse wedding at the Hillsborough County Clerk of Court is all the things a dreamy elopement are made of. While the inside of the courthouse is pretty on par with any other government building, the outside of the building is beautiful. Pair that with the unique architecture of Downtown Tampa and you really couldn’t ask for better photo ops for your portraits. Just a few short blocks away you’ll find Sacred Heart Catholic Church which feels like you’re transported to a different time and place in Europe. Across the street is the historic Le Méridien hotel that used to be a bank but was converted into a boutique hotel with a really cool bar. Then the next block over you’ll find the Tampa Theatre which is a Tampa staple. All and all this city makes the perfect backdrop for a Tampa courthouse wedding. If I didn’t convince you with all those words, then let pictures do the talking and take a look at Mr. & Mrs. Rosa’s wedding day photos. Working with these two was a dream for their elopement. It was everything I described above. Short and sweet, there was so much love between these two it’s palpable in their photos. We finished our session just in time as it started to rain which made for great photos ops before the newly weds jetted off to their intimate dinner reception with close friends and family. Now that’s how it’s done folks. Congrats Ashley and Jon Paul!
