Elopement at Hillsborough County Courthouse // Mrs. & Mrs. Kingsley

There was nothing spooky about Taylor and Cassidy’s Friday the 13th Elopement at Hillsborough County Courthouse. Although Friday the 13th is considered an unlucky day in Western superstition, in the Gregorian it happens at least once every year but can occur up to three times in the same year. The history behind why Friday the 13th gets a bad reputation is actually pretty interesting if you want to brush up on that saga. But more importantly for the Swifties, which Taylor and Cassidy are, Taylor Swift’s lucky number is 13 and that’s the only rebrand that number will ever need. Okay back to Taylor and Cassidy’s Elopement at Hillsborough County Courthouse. We walked into the courthouse together to check in and wait our turn to be called to the window. You might be surprised to know that Friday the 13th is one of the most popular wedding days and that rang true for this day too! There was a waiting room full of brides and grooms dressed in black for the occasion all waiting for their number to be called. Once we were called to the window, the formalities of getting married were taken care of before heading to the private room for the ceremony. Rings were exchanged, “I dos” were said and Taylor and Cassidy officially became Mrs. & Mrs. Kingsley! Our first order of business was stopping at the car for a celebratory shot of tequila which Cassidy and Taylor had on their first date together. We love a callback! The rest of the day was spent galavanting around downtown for their portraits. Including making a stop at the infamous Welcome to Tampa mural. We got really lucky with the weather and had a mostly overcast day which is perfect for photos, especially in the middle of the day. Congrats Taylor and Cassidy!
