Downtown Tampa Courthouse Wedding // Mrs. & Mrs. Harter
I am so in love with photographing a Downtown Tampa courthouse wedding and couples like Mr. & Mrs. Harter are big reasons why. While there is so much to be said for big wedding days and bringing family and friends together, there is also just as much love and intention that goes into eloping at the courthouse. When it’s just the two of you getting married there are no distractions. You can focus on one another and the reason you’re getting married in the first place, for you! A slower day, a slower pace, and plenty of time for pictures after which is what I love. Thank you for coming to my TED talk on why a Downtown Tampa courthouse wedding is really filling my cup these days. Now let’s talk about Mr. & Mrs. Harter! I first started talking with Stephanie a couple of months prior to their wedding day to set up their date. She knew her fiancé, Sean, would be in town visiting before his big move to Japan for his job so they had a little window of time to make their wedding day happen! As all courthouse weddings begin, Stephanie and Sean checked into the kiosk and were called to window number 10 to process their paperwork before heading to the private ceremony room which was still festively decorated for fall. Rings were exchanged, “I dos” were said, and Stephanie and Sean were officially Mr. & Mrs. Harter! We took to downtown after the ceremony to take portraits at all the iconic places like the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Le Meridien Hotel, and the Tampa Theatre. We got so lucky with the weather being completely overcast the entire day which is all you can hope for when you take photos in the middle of the day. But make no mistake, it is Florida and we did still sweat! lol I loved this afternoon with Mr. & Mrs. Harter. Good luck on your next chapter in Japan!
